Terms of Service

1. The Service

Power Stack is a multi-tenant SaaS that lets UPS dealers track their installed base, customers, service tickets, preventive-maintenance schedules, and battery-replacement opportunities. Some features (engineering calculators at /tools) are available without an account; the dashboard requires an account.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at george@power-stack.io if you suspect unauthorised use.

Power Stack is offered free of charge while in early access, including for dealers with up to ten UPS units in their installed base. Paid tiers, when introduced, will be billed in advance via Stripe; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Upload data you do not have the right to process, including personal data of individuals who have not consented.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or network of Power Stack or another tenant.
• Resell, sublicense, or expose the Service to third parties outside your dealer organisation without our written consent.
• Scrape, mirror, or otherwise extract data from the Service at a scale or rate that interferes with normal operation.

4. Your data

Data you enter or upload into Power Stack — customers, UPS units, tickets, schedules — remains your data. We process it on your behalf to deliver the Service. You can export it at any time from the dashboard. Detailed handling is described in the Privacy Notice.

If you cancel your account, your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate, then permanently deleted from production systems within 90 days. Encrypted backups roll off the retention window according to the schedule disclosed in the Privacy Notice.

5. Engineering disclaimer

The calculators at /tools and the recommendations surfaced in the dashboard (cable sizing, generator sizing, PM frequency, battery replacement dates) are general engineering estimates. They are not a substitute for review by a qualified electrical engineer and reconciliation with manufacturer datasheets, the applicable national wiring regulations, and site-specific conditions. Power Stack accepts no liability for design decisions made from this output.

6. Service availability

We aim to make Power Stack available 24/7, but we don't commit to a specific uptime percentage during the early-access period. We may perform scheduled maintenance with prior notice and emergency maintenance without notice. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by factors outside our reasonable control (force majeure, upstream provider outages, internet routing).

7. Intellectual property

Power Stack, its design, source code, calculator methodology, and brand are owned by us. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your dealer business. You retain all rights to your own data.

8. Termination

You can cancel your account at any time from the dashboard. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, after notice where reasonable. On termination, Sections 4 (Your data), 7 (Intellectual property), 9 (Disclaimers), and 10 (Limitation of liability) survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Power Stack's aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100 if no fees were paid. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, profits, or data, even if we were advised of the possibility.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email and on the dashboard before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
